Shipmates,
We are down to a little over 4 months to our reunion. At this time we only have 25 shipmates
who have registered and sent in their money. I'm sure you would enjoy seeing old shipmates and
meeting new ones. If you have never been to Branson you will find a town that lives for Veterans.
Everything they do is geared to Vets. The shows there are outstanding and there is something
for everyone. I urge you shipmates from the 70's and 80's to attend and think about the future
of reunions as you see the passing of the old guard.
Best regards Shipmates
Tom

Reunion update
SHIPMATES,
Here is the first of a few notes pertaining to our reunion April 7,8,9 2011
In Branson MO. We will be staying at the Welk Resort. You
can call now to 800-505-9355 and mention USS Wahoo group number 249915. The rate is $75.88 including tax. This for a king or 2 Queen beds. The rates are good 2 days before and 2 days after the reunion. There will be a hospitality room each day. I do not plan on setting up any shows or tours. Friday evening is open so you could pick your own as there are dozens of great shows.
The cost of this reunion will be $90 per person which will cover both the welcome aboard party as well as the closing banquet and the memorial service.
The memorial service will be on Friday at 11:45 and I have arranged for it to be on board the beautiful yacht Branson Princess. We will be tolling the bell and laying a wreath while underway. We will be served lunch on board during this hour and ½ trip. We will have a sign up
sheet shortly so you can tell me what you will attend and your meal choices.
Regards,
Tom

Hi Wahoo shipmates
It has been a while since I wrote anything on the newsletter. I do not have a lot but here is good news. We had 2 new shipmates log in, they are Paul Marshall Sr and Richard Sloggett on board 72-74. Sure would like you all to go out and find your old shipmates and get them coming to the reunions. I'm sure once they come they will be back.
Steve Ploeckelmann and I will start working real hard on the next reunion after the first of the year.
Our sales of hats and glasses have been going along at a steady pace which helps our fund.
If you have any sea stories or news we can use in the newsletter please let me or Stan know.
We do have some sad news if you already did not know, we lost Duke Ford, he will be missed at the reunions that he really enjoyed.
I hope that you all have a safe and healthy holiday season.
Regards,
Tom
